He was born in Hiroshima (Japan). He studied in Germany with pianists Naoyuki Taneda and Wolfgang Manz.
In 1984 she was winner of the Ostuni International Piano Competition (Italy) and she has won numerous awards with the duo she forms with Christoph Sischka. In addition to solo and duo repertoire, she specializes in chamber music and has performed throughout Europe, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Israel and Egypt. She has also participated in the German festivals of Schleswig-Holstein, Lucerne and Schwetzinger.
She is a professor at the universities of Karlsruhe (Germany), Basel (Switzerland) and Musikene (Spain) and participates as an accompanist pianist in many international competitions in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Italy, the Czech Republic and Poland. She is currently an accompanying pianist professor at the IF International Foundation Trumpet Chair at the Reina Sofía Higher School of Music.
