Adán Delgado Illada (1981), finished his studies at the Superior Conservatory of Tenerife, under the tutelage of Trumpet Professor D. Agustín Ramos. In 1998 he was selected as a scholarship student at the OST Academy of Orchestral Studies, with professors Stephen Leisring and Ingrid Rebstock.
He has participated in Master Classes with professors Leopoldo Vidal, Luis González, Joucko Harjanne, Gabriele Cassone, Andrew Ikov, Vincent Penzarella, Maurice André, Christopher Cooper, Haan Peter Stagnes, John Miller and Guy Touvron. He is part of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain, the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival, the European Union Youth Orchestra and the World Orchestra of Musical Youth; He has collaborated with the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, “ReinaSofía” Chamber Orchestra, Granada Orchestra, Madrid Symphony Orchestra, Cadaqués Orchestra, Bilbao Orchestra, Orchestra Leonore, Porto Symphony Orchestra, Orchester Philharmonique Royal de Liége, Plural Ensemble… ; performing in Europe, Japan, South Korea, Oman, Mexico and China; with the teachers Lutz Köhller, Christopher Howgood, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Paavo Jarvi, Jan Pascal Tortellier, Frübeck de Burgos, Bernard Haitink, Sir John Elliot Gardiner, Nelo Santi, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Valery Giergiev, Sir Neville Marriner… ; in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Konzerthaus and Philharmonie in Berlin, Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Teatro Juárez in Guanajuato, Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, Opera House in Muscat or the Seoul Arts Center.
He has been awarded in several competitions such as the first prize in the international trumpet competition “Yamaha Xeno 2004”, or the first prize in the X international trumpet competition in Benidorm 2008. Principal trumpet of the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra (2004-2008), member of the Valencian Community Orchestra at the Palau de les Arts “Reina Sofía” (2008-2009). He has also been a member of the brass quintet “5debrass” since 2004 and a professor at the Balearic Islands Higher Conservatory of Music and Dance (2004-2014).
He is regularly invited to conduct courses and Master Classes throughout the Spanish geography, and maintains a close teaching collaboration with the Tallinn Academy of Music and Theather (Estonia).
He has also given Master Classes and concerts at the Glazunov Conservatory (Russia), Poland, Mexico and China, where, in addition, he has recently participated as a jury at the Fuxin International Competition and Fuxin Art’s Week, as well as performing a recital within the same event. As a soloist, he regularly participates in recitals with the pianist Jaan Ots, with whom he has had a duet since 2008. His appearances as a soloist with the O.S. Baleares (Concert by Arutunian), Camerata Sa Nostra (Telemann), Philharmonic Orchestra (Hummel), Orchestra of the “Isola Classica” festival in Italy, Shostakovich Concert with Rosa Torres Pardo at the Mosque of Córdoba…, and frequently invited to form part of the jury and teacher in the selection auditions of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain (since 2010), and various National and International competitions, Invited as a teacher at EUYO, JONDE, OJA, JOCAN… Since 2009 he is Principal Trumpet of the National Orchestra of Spain and founding member of the brassONEquintet (2017).
